Ventress facing her inner demons being coaxed out by Azazel during her dark walk to Sithhood

Azazel is very loosely based on the creature from the Sandman comics who tried to take over the pits

I think he was a god of evil in ancient Hebrew or Babylonian culture. Aziz means strong and el means god

In Sandman Azazel made a bid to try to rule hell (he was like a black cloud with flashing jaws and eyes). I thought it appropriate for her to go against some formless evil force.

Nicely done! I like the eyes in the fog. :)

Why thank you =) *hugs for the fav*

The eyes were tricky to think of but easy to do

I made a whole new picture with just a reddish/burgundy circle and a reddish oval behind that. I then did 2 simple curved lines (one above and one below) to simulate folds.

I then shaded the eye to make it 3d with a dot of light on it.

Then I pasted one onto my picture as an invisible layer (to have an original in case I screwed up)

I then pasted more and adjusted their hues and transparencies to blend them into the goopy clouds a bit. Then I stretched, skewed and moved them to make them look like they were moving with the winds.

Simple but took me about an hour after I drew the first one to tinker with them.

Layers are great for that stuff. I think you've really come along with your work. :)
